Turkish wire rod exports in Jan down by 40pct MoM

According to the statistics released by Turkey's Steel Exporters Association, in January this year Turkey's total wire rod exports amounted to 80,451 tonnes decreasing by 40% MoM and up 44.2% from January 2011.
Meanwhile, the revenue generated by Turkey's wire rod exports in January totaled USD 53.9 million increasing by 44.3% YoY and down 40.85% compared to the previous month.
In January, Turkey's wire rod exports to the US decreased by half while Turkish mills increased their focus on the Brazilian and Singaporean markets.
