The UAE produced 2.7 million barrels per day of oil in August down around 100,000 barrels per day from the previous month.

An industry source familiar with the matter said that in July, the OPEC country's production was ramped close to its maximum capacity of 2.8 million barrels per day.

The UAE, which is among the world's top crude exporters has promised oil supplies to customers who are looking at cutting their dependence on Iran's crude exports due to sanctions placed by the West.
