Construction Week reported that the deal was signed by Mr Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa chairman of Muharraq Mall Company and Mr Mannil Thomas Mathews CEO of Al Moayyed Contracting. Construction of the project started on the July 15th 2012 and is scheduled for completion in December 2013.


Mr Shaikh Abdulla said that “We are delighted to have appointed Almoayyed Contracting to carry out this project and are convinced that our project will provide Muharraq Mall Company and the residents of Muharraq with a high quality mall that will serve as a focal point for the community.”

The mall will be built over two floors offering approximately 30,000 square meter of retail space with ample parking underneath on the ground level. The project also includes an open air amphitheatre that will be used for public and cultural events.
