
It is reported that construction of Iran's Chahar Mahal Bakhtiyari steel plant has progressed since Iranian government injected money in projects for the construction of 8 mini mills in Iranian provinces in February 2010.
According to IMIDRO, construction of the iron making plant, steelmaking plant, support and auxiliary units of Chahar Mahal Bakhtiyari project progressed by 56%, 17% and 28% respectively up to the end of April 2010.
About IRR 850 billion was spent on the project up to the end of April while an investment of EUR 126 million plus IRR 2,000 billion has been estimated for the whole project.
Chahar Mahal Bakhtiyari steel plant has an annual capacity of 800,000 tonnes of slab and is located near Brujen city in the province of Chahar Mahal Bakhtiyari in central Iran.
