
Southern Iraq Wassit Province' Council has signed MoU with a Chinese company to build 330 MW power station in the Province.
Mr Taha al Rudeiny the Council's media committee member said that Wassit's Council has signed an MOU with the Chinese Camsy Company to build an electric power station in the Province with 330 MW power."
Mr Rudeiny said that the Council had got final official approvals by the Ministry of Electricity, following the approval of the Prime Minister and the Finance Ministry to build the power station.
He said that the Chinese Company had promised to build the power station within one year from the date of the Iraqi Electricity Ministry's approval on the contract, adding that the payment of the project would be based on delayed payment procedure.
