Railway Vikas Nigam Limited has turned its focus on sealing Angul-Duburi-Sukinda rail link in Orissa after closing Haridaspur- Paradip rail link and has convened a meeting of major companies operating in the region to expedite formation of a SPV.
Mr DC Mitra MD of RVNL told media "We are now concentrating on the 98 km Angul-Duburi-Sukinda rail link. The project will take off shortly.”
Angul-Duburi-Sukinda rail link would provide the vital connecting link between existing coalfields in Talcher area with iron ore areas of Bansapani. The total cost of the project has been estimated to be around Rs 417 crore.
