Darvesh Groups aluminum plant to start construction in July
It is reported that work on Dubai based Darvesh Group’s AED 3 billion aluminum processing plant will commence by July 2008. Nova Aluminium, which is being set up in Dubai Industrial City, will go on stream in 2010 with a production capacity of 135,000 tonnes per year.
Mr Ahsan Hassan Darvesh director of Darvesh Group D told Emirates Business that "The first phase will cost us AED 1.1 billion. We have placed orders for machinery and will get land possession by July next year.”
The plant will source raw aluminum from Gulf based companies such as Emal, Dubal and Alba, and make finished goods for the construction, pharmaceutical and packaging industries.
