Wugang gets CCS bridge steel certification

It is reported that Wuhan Steel was lately given a bridge steel certification, issued by Chinese Classification Society, the most authoritative institution in ship and large scale bridge construction field in China, becoming the first CCS certified bridge steel maker in China's steel sector.

Wuhan dominates in almost all domestic markets of large scale bridge steel products. Among others, the world's largest over the sea bridge Hangzhou Bay Bridge, projected to start operation on May 1st of this year, was built with 430,000 tonnes of Wuhan Steel made bridge steel which were used to build the bridges downside tubular pile, the girder and guardrail on the upside.

Besides, some sixty key bridge building projects in China are using Wuhan’s bridge steel products including Wuhu Yangtze River Bridge the biggest railway and highway combined bridge in Asia, Huhan based Tianxingzhou Yangtze River Bridge and Yangluo Yangtze River Bridge, Yichang Yangtze River Bridge, Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge and Nanjing Second Yangtze River Bridge.

Statistics shows that Wuhan Steel has provided 1 million tonnes of bridge steel since earlier 1990's and registered a market share of over 70% in the past three continuous years.
