Chinese billet prices further increase in Hebei

It is reported that billet prices continue rising in North China's Hebei province whereas most steel mills have raised the offer prices by CNY 30 per tonne.

As per report, latest price goes at CNY 5380 per tonne for common carbon 150 billet in Tangshan and Wu'an CNY 5430 per tonne for rectangle 165 billets and CNY 5530 per tonne for low alloy billet. All above are ex works price on acceptance.

Billet market has seen steadily uptrend with brisk transactions. Meanwhile, rising downstream sections and strip steel markets also have lent strong support to local billet prices.
