Yusco switches to production of carbon steel plates

In order to offset losses in its stainless steel business, Taiwan’s Yieh United Steel Corp will begin production of carbon steel plate in June and expect receiving orders next month.
Yusco is promoting carbon steel plate mainly due to stainless steel market’s weakness and to satisfy demand from the group’s pipe and steel structure plants.
Yusco’s output is now about 3,000 tonne per month, for supply to Yieh Phui in the same group and other customers. It sets its A36 plate as its main product for export markets, and A572, A709 and SN409B for domestic sales.
