GAIL plans petrochemical plant in Colombia

It is reported that GAIL (India) is planning to set up a mega petrochemical plant and a gas pipeline network in Colombia.

However, the proposal is only at an initial planning stage and details regarding production capacity, investment and time frame are yet to be worked out.

As per report GAIL is likely to bring Reliance Industries with whom the state-run firm already has an agreement to set up a production facility overseas as joint venture partner.
