NALCO official stir over revised pay structure

SNS reported that more than 1800 officials of the two Nalco plants here observed a protest day yesterday demanding the scrapping of the recommendation of the Justice Rao committee on the revision of pay structure. The protest was observed in response to the call by the National Confederation of Officers Association.

Mr Satya Narayan Sahu president of NALCO said that “The report submitted by Justrice Rao to the department of public enterprises should be scrapped as it is discriminatory.”

He added that “It focused on manpower and turnover while fixing the salary of officers overlooking companies which have less manpower but higher profit.”
