Iranian crude steel output exceeds 4.1million tonne

IRIB reported that Iran produced over 4.17 million tonne of crude steel in the first five months of the current calendar year (started March 20, 2008), showing a 2% growth over the corresponding figure in 2007.

According to Industrial Development and Renovation Organization, the country produced more than 4.24 million tonne of steel products and exported 530,842 tonne of it.
