Daniel to supply EAF to Al Yamamah Steel Industries

It is reported that Saudi Arabia’s Al Yamamah Steel Industries has signed a contract with Danieli for supply of equipment for the electric arc furnace workshop No 1 consisting of a 100 tonne EAF, a 100 tonne ladle furnace and a 5 strand billet caster.

The report added that installation of the equipment will start in January 2009, the launch of the complex in Q3 2011, its ramping up to full capacity in 2012. The 150mm billet will be used internally to feed long product rolling operations.
