ArcelorMittal sues Bluestone Coal over supply shortfalls

Post Tribune of Merrillville reported that ArcelorMittal has sued Bluestone Coal Corporation, claiming that the supplier is delivering less coal than their contract stipulates.

The suit alleges that not only is Bluestone Coal Corp shorting the Burns Harbor mill of coal, but Bluestone is using ArcelorMittal rail cars to haul coal to customers that pay more.

ArcelorMittal claims it has had to buy coal from other suppliers to maintain high temperatures in its coke ovens and prevent the ovens from cooling and sustaining damage.
