Midwest Industrial Metal to expand operations in Indiana

Midwest Industrial Metal Fabrication has announced that it will expand its operations in Northeast Indiana, creating 33 new jobs by 2011.

Midwest Industrial Metal, which specializes in stamping metal parts for industries ranging from defense to appliances, will invest more than USD 2 million to build and equip a 20,000 square feet production center adjacent to its existing operation in the northeast Indiana city located approximately 30 miles southwest of Fort Wayne.

Construction on the new facility will begin in October 2008 and the company will begin adding welders and painters to its 49 person workforce ahead of the new facility's completion in January 2009.

Mr Mitch Daniels governor of Indiana said that "Home grown successes like Midwest Industrial Metal Fabrication are strengthening Indiana's economy and creating new opportunities for Hoosiers."

Mr Blaine Kaylor president of Midwest Industrial Metal Fabrication said that "Midwest is in its tenth year of business with continued growth and now with our new modern design of self dumping grain trailers the need is great to add to our operation."
