Bulgargaz postpones gas cut to Kremikovtzi
Thursday, 02 Apr 2009

Novinite cited Mr Dimitar Gogov CEO of Bulgargaz as saying that after being asked by Economic Minister, Mr Petar Dimitrov to postpone the gas shut down that Bulgarian state-owned Bulgargaz will not cut troubled steel mill Kremikovtzi's gas supply for another week.

Mr Dimitrov explained that one of the probable investors had asked for more time to take its final decision for buying the steel mill. He said that he could not provide the company's name.

Bulgargaz intended to cut the gas supply to Kremikovtzi after it came clear recently that the only left negotiating investor, the Brazilian CSN officially withdrew its interest in buying the steel factory.
