Shriram EPC JV plans 250 wind turbines in FY 2010

Projects Today reported that Leitner Shriram Manufacturing, a 51:49 JV between Chennai based Shriram EPC and an Italian firm Leitner Technologies is planning to manufacture 250 wind turbine generators during this fiscal.
The JV company's WTG manufacturing plant at Gummidipundi in Chennai has begun production in December 2008. So far, it has invested INR 120 crore in its WTG plant and plans to infuse another INR 80 crore during this fiscal. It manufactures WTGs of 250 KW and 1.5 MW capacities.
