Vietnam imports 186,000 tonnes of steel from Russia

According to the customs statistics, Russian shipments for export to Vietnam have reached 186,000 tonnes in May 2009, up by 1.57 times as compared to April.
Shipments of flat products while this time increased 2.6 times and made 135,400 tonnes, bar products increased 2.7 times, up to 8,300 tonnes. Simultaneously, billet shipments decreased merely by one third and made 41,000 tonnes.
Generally steel products export from Russia to Vietnam for 5 month has grown 1.46 times and reached 568,200 tonnes. As a result, Vietnam gained the sixth place by volume among the leading importers of Russian steel products. It was 13th place before.
