Chinese intent to construct battery recycling factory in Russia

Regnum reported that Chinese businessman Mr Jan Bo has arrived to Irkutsk. Chinese businessman hopes to invest approximately 2 billion dollars in construction of battery recycling factory in Irkutsk territory to recycle batteries from all over Russia and this will improve environment.

Mr Pavel Shaposhnikov the member of city Duma said the construction of such factory could be an economic project which Irkutsk and Shenyan can realize in frames of sister city connections. Mr Shaposhnikov has taken supervisory of the project. Chinese businessmen have to make a great feasibility economical and legal substantiation of the future factory.

He said that “The battery recycling factory is an investment project which attracts foreign investments to Irkutsk. We are offered know-how, production equipment, related to high technologies and reduction of harmful influence to environment.

He added that Chinese party has expressed an intention to create high technology laboratory in Irkutsk, and this project could be realized in cooperation with our universities and the Syberian department of Academy of Science. Moreover, the factory gives the city about 200 job places for Irkutsk people, not for foreign labour. That is why I am ready to try my best to promote this project in Irkutsk.”
