Azovstal Steel Plant operating under umbrella of Metinvest Group increased production performance indicators of pig iron and steel in July 2009 production of pig iron made 370,500 tonnes and production of steel 426,900 tonnes.
There was a small increase in production of rolled steel 357,000 tonnes in July which is 15,700 tonnes more than in June.
In July 2009 the plant increased production of bulk coke by 27,400 tonnes to 184,600 tonnes compared to June 2009.
