
AREVA’s Transmission and Distribution division has won an order from Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited for turnkey design and construction of a 400 kV Air Insulated Substation at Nawada, near Faridabad.
The value of the order is approximately IR 760 million and is part of a World Bank funded Project for HVPNL. AREVA T&D is already involved in construction of HVPNL's 400 kV Substation in Kirori near Hissar.
The order involves supply of 2 x 315 MVA Power Transformers, and High Voltage Circuit Breakers, Instrument Transformers and other T&D Products.
Mr. Rathin Basu country president & MD of AREVA T&D India said “We are proud to have been chosen by HVPNL for this prestigious order, in view of its importance in augmentation of the Transmission network in Haryana. This order also helps reinforce the confidence that HVPNL has in AREVA T&D’s ability to successfully execute such projects, which are of strategic importance to the state.”
