It is reported that on September 16th 2009, POSCO entered a memorandum of understanding on a joint investment on a Ferro chrome plant with IMFA an Indian supplier based at Bhubaneswar in Orissa, to ensure a stable supply of chrome which is a key material in stainless steel.
