Thursday, 08 Oct 2009

Chicago Tube & Iron has relocated its Wisconsin Division from Milwaukee to a newly constructed 117,000 square foot metals distribution service center in Fond du Lac. The new facility employs approximately 30 warehouse and office workers who support the company’s customers throughout the state of Wisconsin.

Mr Donald R McNeeley president & COO of CTI said that "Especially during these difficult times for the metals industry and the manufacturing sector, this new investment underscores our long term and growing commitment to the Wisconsin industrial market. Our new central location and state of the art facilities will significantly enhance our ability to provide consistent, reliable service to our customers throughout Wisconsin."

CTI said that its total investment in the Wisconsin market now exceeds USD 15 million, including the new construction in Fond du Lac together with equipment, inventories and other balance sheet commitments. The service center is located on 13 acres in the new Fox Ridge Industrial Park adjacent to Highway US 41, at the south end of Fond du Lac. Chicago Tube & Iron Company is the first business to construct and commence business operations at Fox Ridge.
