Interfax cited Mr Alexander Medvedev Deputy CEO and Gazprom Export chief of Gazprom as saying that Gazprom expects to sign a contract in October on additional gas deliveries to Poland.
He said that negotiations with Poland were held at the World Gas Conference in Buenos Aires and all issues have been resolved.
Mr Medvedev said "I think it will be in October.”
He said that it would involve signing a supplement to the intergovernmental treaty and a direct contract for gas deliveries.
He added that first the legal basis must be laid and only then the contract."
Mr Medvedev recalled that previously Poland had insisted on reducing the minimum amount of Russian gas imports in the intergovernmental agreement and then practically on the very same day purchased the difference from Ukraine.
