
It is reported that Taiwan's Yieh United Steel Corporation and Tang Engg are expected to hike their prices again for November 2009, based on the higher LME nickel price.
LME nickel price has hit almost USD 20,000 per tonne, reaching the highest level for this year. On October 21st 2009, the nickel price headed north to USD 19,700 per tonne, up by 20% from its lowest level of USD 16,500 per tonne.
The current situation of buyers replenishing their stocks is a noticeable trend according to market participants. Downstream mills are also planning price hikes.
