Shanxi coal production drops 50 million tonnes in 9 months

It is reported that owing to insufficient demand and the industry wide integration, coal production in the first three quarters in Shanxi province remained at only 431.35 million tonnes dropping by 52.49 million tonnes or 10%YoY. Production of non key mines plunged by 64.86 million tonnes or 30%.
Sources from the Office of Coal Industry of Shanxi Province say that coal production has posted to the upside, for local mines have been gradually entering into production. Statistics show that in Q1, Shanxi produced an average of 36.67 million tonnes of coal each month in Q2 49.66 million tonnes and Q3 the figure went up to 58.1 million tonnes.
