On October 21st 2009, China Steel Corporation held the domestic pricing meeting for December of 2009 and announced the price cut in the following table.
The average adjustment of CSC's domestic steel price is about TWD 967 per tonne, which reflects the recent price downward pressure as a result of the steel oversupply in China. However, CSC also notices the steel price upward trend in China where the transaction price bottomed out last week.
In order to alleviate damages by low priced import and overcome the short term correction in global steel market, CSC reduces steel prices to strengthen customers' global competitiveness.
