Tenaris has inaugurated new product testing laboratories at its seamless tubes mill in Zalau last month. The laboratories' objective is to fully guarantee products' quality, using modern, precise equipment and an automated testing process.
The new 13,000 square meter building has two levels, one for laboratories (for sample preparation, testing and analysis) and one with offices and meeting rooms. It offers modern working conditions and the highest safety standards.
Tests performed in the new labs will certify products used in the oil and gas, power, mechanical and automotive industries as well as those for industrial applications. The new equipment provides automatic registration of test results, an important factor that promotes transparency.
Mr Gabriel Podskubka area manager Tenaris Eastern Europe said that "The new laboratories project is strategic since quality is one of Tenaris's fundamental values. It is also the confirmation of Tenaris's commitment to Romania, its community, its customers and its employees."
