Alumco bags major contract from Meena Plaza Project in Abu Dhabi.

Emirates Business 24|7 reported that Alumco Group has been awarded a major contract to supply aluminum facades to Meena Plaza Project in Abu Dhabi.

The project is located in Port Zayed and is developed by Tamouh. It has been designed by KDI Architects and Zelan Holding of Malaysia is the main contractor.

The contract won by Alumco Group will see the installation of 36,000 square meters of curtain walls and glazing. Work on the 4 towers started in March 2008 and will be completed by September 2010. Additionally, the project will feature special design effects with a spider atrium and skylight at the podium as well as an inclined curved curtain wall façade.

The firm will oversee the installation of a 4 floor stainless steel spider observatory lift. About 6,000 square meters of vertical fins with 10 millimeters stainless steel supports and aluminum covering will top up the work.
