National Aluminum Company announced results for the quarter ended September 30th 2009.
It posted a net profit for the period of INR 1,594.90 million for the quarter ended September 30th 2009 as compared to INR 4,444.60 million for the quarter ended September 30th 2008 a fall of 64.17%.
Total income has decreased 20.26% from INR 16,545 million for the quarter ended September 30th 2008 to INR 13,192.70 million for the quarter ended September 30th 2009. Its net sales fell 24.96% and stood at INR 11,791.10 million as against INR 15,715.10 million in the prior year period. It reported earnings of INR 2.48 per share fall of 64.06% as compared to previous year period.
A Navratna status company, it encompasses bauxite mining, alumina refining, aluminum smelting and casting, power generation, rail and port operations. The product portfolio includes aluminum ingots, sows, billets, wire rods, alloy wire rods, cast strips, calcined alumina, alumina hydrate, Zeolite-A, specialty hydrate and alumina and aluminum rolled products.
