It is reported that Deputy Opposition Leader Ms Julie Bishop will raise Stern Hu's case with Chinese Government officials during a two day visit to Beijing. Ms Bishop is meeting with officials from the Foreign Ministry.
The Rio Tinto executive has been detained since July as Chinese authorities investigate allegations he stole commercial secrets.
