EU to raise steel import allocation from Russia
It is reported that EU has increased its allocation to import steel material from Russia by 6% for 2009.
Russia has reminded the EU that it didn’t fulfill the allocation plan last year.
The allocation limitation is mainly to protect EU steel producers such as Mittal, ThyssenKrupp and Celsa group so that these EU steel enterprises would not too affected by Russian steel material imports.
