It is reported that tight thermal coal supply at power plants will be greatly alleviated this year in Anyang, Henan province.

Two Henan-based power plants, Datang Anyang Power Generation Co and Datang Linzhou Power Generation Co recently inked a coal supply contract with Hemei Group Co which is affiliated to Henan Coal Chemical Industry Group, at a coal supply and demand conference hosted by the provincial government.

The coal producer will provide as much as 1 million tonnes of thermal coal to the two power plants in 2012. For the whole province, thermal coal contracts would reach 95 million tonnes. Among the total, 70 million tonnes will be allocated to state-owned key coal miners and the remaining 25 million tonnes to local miners.
