According to Mr Fu Jihui deputy general manager of Angang that, the company will weed out backward iron production of 0.1 billion tonnes during 2010 and 2011. It is said that Angang has produced over 30 million tonnes iron and steel respectively in December 2010 saving 3.19 million tonnes SCE.

In the previous 11 months of 2010, Angang Group has saved SCE and water at 0.455 million tonnes and 10.79 million tonnes respectively. At the same time, emissions of COD, smoke dust and SO2 decreased by 6.8%, 19.8% and 22.6%. Furthermore, sales revenue of Angang rose up a lot to CNY 148 billion ranking top 500 in the world.
