Bloomberg reported that ArcelorMittal is still in talks about the future of three coal mines in Siberia.
Mr Giles Read spokesman for ArcelorMittal said that "Negotiations are still ongoing."
ArcelorMittal said in March that it may consider suspending output at two of the three mines, which it bought for USD 720 million last year from Russia’s OAO Severstal, until market conditions improve.
Mr Aman Tuleyev governor of Kemerovo told Mr LN Mittal CEO of Arcelor Mittal that he would not allow the closure of Anzherskaya and the Pervomayskaya mine and proposed they be handed over to his administration instead.
