Reuters reported that Australia's government wills fast track development approvals for the AUD 7.5 billion Waratah Coal project in Queensland State.

Mr Anthony Albanese infrastructure minister of Australia said that the project by the privately owned Waratah Coal Private Limited controlled by local mining magnate Clive Palmer will be developed in stages with the first exports expected in 2013.
