
It is reported that state owned power utility Korea Midland Power received 700,000 tonnes of coal offers for its spot tender to for the supply 210,000 tonnes to the Boryeong power plant.
The offers of minimum 4,800 kilocalorie per kilogram NAR coal for August 2010 delivery were mostly of Australian, Indonesia and South African origin.
KOMIPO has also received 2.1 million tonnes of offers for its term tender of 500,000 tonnes of coal with minimum 4,800 kilocalorie per kilogram NAR for delivery July 2010 to June 2015. The offers were mostly of Indonesian and Australian origin for which the utility expects to pay below USD 90 per t FOB on 6,080 kilocalorie per kilogram basis.
