Interfax reported that Avdiivka Coke, the largest coke maker in Ukraine, reported its financial results for Q1 2012.

The company posted a net loss of UAH 329 million versus net profit of UAH 129.7 million in Q1 2011. Unaudited loss totaled UAH 421.6 million over this period. At the same time, revenue from sales declined by 12.8% YoY to UAH 2.8 billion.

As reported, AVDK intends to produce 4.5 million tonnes of bulk coke with 6% moisture and 3.8 million tonnes of finished goods (blast furnace coke) and sell it afterwards for UAH 12.2 billion (excluding VAT), thereby getting the cost of goods sold at UAH 11.4 billion.
