It is reported that the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has postponed ruling on BHP Billiton's takeover offer for Rio Tinto.
The ACCC was originally due to report its finding on the competition implications of the bid tomorrow. But it has delayed making a decision after requesting more information from BHP.
It said that it will determine a proposed date for the announcement when it receives BHP's reply.
United States regulators have given conditional approval to the bid, while the EU is set to make a ruling in December.
