
Babcock delays coal port expansion by 3 months
Australia’s biggest coking coal export harbor Babcock & Brown Infrastructure Group said that it planned expansion of the port has been delayed by three months because of adverse weather conditions.
Babcock in a statement to the Australian stock exchange said that the expansion to a capacity of 85 million tonnes a year from 72 million tonnes is expected to be completed by Jun. It said that the previous schedule was for completion by March.
