Centennial Coal Company Limited said that Banpu Public Company Limited has received approval from the Bank of Thailand for it to remit foreign currency to pay the consideration under the takeover bid for Centennial by Banpu Minerals (Singapore) Pte Limited.

Centennial said in a statement that "Accordingly, Banpu Minerals (Singapore) Pte Limited's takeover offer, when made, will not be conditional on the obtaining of Bank of Thailand approval."
