Bloomberg reported that Bogdanka has signed a new contract for the sale of steam coal to the Elektrownia Polaniec power plant in southeast Poland. The contract value is estimated at PLN 2.857 billion.

Agreement is effective from the conclusion of the December 31st 2018 and provides for the physical supply of coal for power in the years 2013-2018 Połaniec.

Bogdanka said that the parties agreed on a formula of supply prices for the period ending December 31st 2015.

Bogdanka had PLN 99.11 million consolidated net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent in the first quarter of 2012 years to PLN 35.86 million profit a year earlier. Consolidated revenue amounted to PLN 477.30 million from PLN 309.96 million a year earlier.
