
Altogether 18,000 officers of Coal India Limited and Singroni Coal Companies would go for an indefinite strike from January 21.
As per report Coal Mines Officers Association has served notice to the company management.
Mr Sukhdeo Narayan president of CMOA said that since the CIL management failed to give due promotion and other benefits to officers, the association is forced to go on an indefinite strike from January 21.
Their main demands are immediate payment of performance related pay which is due from 2007, career growth pay and perks and post retirement medical benefits.
The CMOA president charged that 7500 officers have not been provided time bound promotion for 10 to 12 years.
