Canadian iron ore exports down by 0.5% in 2008

Mine web reported that Canada exported 28.173 million tons of iron ore in 2008 down by 0.5% compared to the previous year.
Germany was the biggest importer of iron ore from Canada at 7.272 million tonnes up by 23.8% YoY. America iron ore shipments from Canada totaled 5.806 million tonnes up by YoY 6.5%. Besides, China occupied 3.31 million tonnes, UK 2.126 million tonnes, France 1.807 million tonnes and Japan 1.346 million tonnes.
