It is reported that Cash Minerals Ltd has appointed Mr Douglas Currie as president and chief executive officer.

Mr Currie replaces Mr Greg Duras who has served as CEO on an interim basis since May 2008 and will now return to his role as chief financial officer.

The Toronto-based company which explores and develops uranium and coal projects in the Yukon said that Mr Currie has worked in the industry for more than 30 years.

He has held executive positions at resource companies in both Australia and Canada, and is currently executive vice-president of exploration and development and a director of Valencia Ventures Inc. He is also president of privately-owned consulting firm Gwynva Resources Management Inc.

Mr Stan Bharti executive chairman said his knowledge of the uranium industry and strong management and corporate abilities are expected to contribute to the future growth of the company.
