It is reported that the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry of Ukraine and Chin? Development Bank on July 13 signed a protocol on cooperation in using coal instead of natural gas.

According to the press service, the provisions of the protocol foresee the possibility of opening a special credit line of USD 3.656 billion by Chin? Development Bank for financing the program of natural gas substitution with Ukrainian coal by using Chinese technologies.

Mr Ihor Popovych First Deputy Energy and Coal Industry Minister of Ukraine and the authorized representative of Chin? Development Bank signed the document.

It is planned within the program to implement several projects to transfer national thermal energy facilities to coal-water fuel and construct plants for the gasification of lignite and coal.
