
According to Mr Wu Chenghou Vice President of China Coal Transportation and Distribution Association, China net coal imports are expected to approach 0.12 billion tonnes in 2010.
Mr Wu believed the international coal price will hover at a high level for a long term and as a result China is likely to maintain its daily coal imports at 10 million tonnes.
According to the statistics by China Customs, the nation has net imported 0.103 billion tonnes coal in 2009, firstly becoming the net coal importer. Well, the data shows that the import price in June 2010 averaged at USD 101.61 per tonne up by 24.19%YoY.
