
Southwest China's Chongqing city saw basically balanced supply-demand for thermal coal in October this year.
The major power plants purchased 1.47 million tonnes of thermal coal, 3.5% more than the previous month; consumption were 1.2 million tonnes, plunging 25%MoM.
In the first ten months, these enterprises swallowed a total of 16.58 million tonnes of thermal coal, soaring 34% compared with the same period last year; the aggregated consumption jumped 29% to 15.57 million tonnes.
Up to the end of October, coal inventories at the power plants reached 1.83 million tonnes.
