It is reported that Kabul Extraction work on a new coal mine was started in Duab district of Samangan province.

Kabul Extraction work on a new coal mine was started in Duab district of Samangan province.

Mr Qadir Khurmi provincial head of coal mine said the new coal mine is located in Aab Khorak village of Roy Do Aab district of the province and there is 10 million tons coal. Currently, there are six coal mines including the new mine which has been identified recently in the province.

He said in the past six months, nearly 714328 tons coal have been extracted from the mines and 1.6billion Afs income paid to Afghan government. He added directorate of coal mine is in Pulikhumri and got almost 770 million Afs profit in the past six months.
